What it is
ICTC’s Youth Dividend program connects Canadian employers with university and college graduates between 18—30 years old. These recent graduates receive training and meaningful work experience to help transition to full-time employment.
Our first intake was extremely successful, with 96% of Youth Dividend participants either hired by their employer or for a similar role elsewhere. Additionally, 98% of employers indicated that Youth Dividend helped them advance and complete their digital projects, and that they would highly recommend the program to others.
Funded by the Government of Canada’s Digital Skills for Youth (DS4Y) program, the Youth Dividend program is ICTC’s response to the growing demand for information and communications technology (ICT) and digital professionals.
The goal of this initiative is to help youth obtain ICT/digital careers, while assisting employers to gain much needed resources in the following areas:
- Software Development
- Data Analysis
- Data Science
- Business Analysis
- Digital Marketing/Sales
- UX/UI Design

Why it matters
Through this program, unemployed or underemployed youth will be given the opportunity to enhance their digital and ICT skills, thereby increasing their overall competencies and employment readiness.
Selected employers from small and medium-sized businesses and not-for-profit organizations will have support in the form of 100% wage subsidy (up to a maximum of $22,540), as well as have the opportunity to access additional ICT tools and resources, promote workplace diversity, and help recent graduates thrive in the growing and competitive business landscape. By the end of this program, the participants will have gained valuable work experience and be better qualified for ICT/Digital economy jobs in demand.
